Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff are required to agree with the following code of conduct whose purpose is to ensure a healthy, collaborative and respectful environment for information exchange.
We need everyone's help to make this a wholesome community.
Expected Behavior
- Treat everyone with respect both verbally and physically
- Discourage negative behaviors when you observe them even if you're not the recipient
- Respect the privacy of others
Examples of Unacceptable Behavior
Here's a non-exhaustive list of example behaviors that violate this code-of-conduct and are grounds for removal from the event:
- Sexual language and imagery
- Unwanted advances or behavior which could be perceived as harassment
- Any inappropriate contact (What's appropriate? That's not up to you, but to the recipient so always err on the side of respect and caution. Ask for consent!)
- Disruptive behavior
As a Bystander
- If you see someone making another person uncomfortable, please check in with them so they know the community does not tolerate that.
- We all must be part of the solution to building an inviting atmosphere.
Consequences
- Any violation of this code may lead to immediate ejection from the conference without recourse at the sole discretion of the event organizers.
Photography
- This event takes place in a public space and you may be photographed or recorded in videos by the official event photographers/videographers or others at the event. If you do not wish to be photographed, bright RED lanyards are available at check-in.
- If you are found to be taking photos of people wearing these lanyards, you may be asked to leave the event. These individuals do NOT consent to being photographed.
